PRODUCER/ DIRECTOR/ WRITER: June Molgaard is an Emmy-nominated television producer with 15 years experience delivering content to Discovery, History Channel, National Geographic and PBS. In a variety of formats, June has told stories on subjects ranging from war, to terrorism, archaeology, history and medicine, and helped launch the international news pilot on PBS, “GLOBAL WATCH”, as well as the science news magazine “WIRED SCIENCE” in collaboration with Wired magazine, also on PBS. June was first nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2004 as producer on the provocative and satirical Showtime investigative series “BULLSHIT!” (nominated 11 times) and was nominated again in 2006 as producer, director and writer of the History Channel feature documentary “BLOOD DIAMONDS”, about the civil wars in Angola, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Born in a small Inuit subsistence community in northern Greenland, June came to the United States to attend Stanford University and seek a career in journalism. She formed Searching Pictures LLC in 2015 to produce documentary content about stories underreported in the media - stories that empower and engage the public's curiosity, imagination and humanity.
CAMERA: Will Lyons has been a camera operator on numerous tv series for Discovery and National Geographic, such as DEADLIEST CATCH, BERING SEA GOLD, NAKED & AFRAID and PORT PROTECTION. While always keen to experiment and pushs the limits of cinematography, Will is foremost an astute listener and storyteller. Known for his amiable demeanor, stamina and ability to connect with his subjects, Will sees his camera as a means to open up the world and create deeper understanding.
EDITOR: Dan Wolfmeyer is a veteran editor of numerous science series, such as THE UNIVERSE and LIFE AFTER PEOPLE for the History Channel. But he also specializes in feature documentaries on human rights and public policy issues. These include BLOOD DIAMONDS (produced by June Molgaard), CHILD WARRIORS and STANDING TALL AT AUSCHWITZ for the History Channel (all of which were either nominated for Emmys or winners of Cine Golden Eagle Awards) as well as civil rights projects such as VIVA LA CAUSA (about Cesar Chavez) and most recently SELMA: BRIDGE TO THE BALLOT.
